The Snyder Cut: DC FanDome Panel
the snyder cut trailer and release info drop
The panel we have all been waiting for, The Snyder Cut, just aired. It was magnificent, explosive, beautiful…and looked much better than the mediocre Joss Whedon theatrical version.
Since we already knew so much about the cut coming to HBO Max, we didn’t get too much info. However, director Zack Snyder (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman) revealed that it would be presented in four one-hour episodes, and not one giant film. That seems smart.
Also, you are permitted to watch all four episodes together after they all air on the streaming platform. Since HBO Max is only available in the US, Snyder announced that they will be working on different distribution plans and deals to release this event to other countries around the world. Or, if you want, just turn on that VPN.
And then we got the biggest drop of the panel: the teaser trailer. Set to some killer music, this chaotic, yet truly epic trailer gave all us fans what we wanted. There’s the Black Suit version of Superman, Darkseid and Steppenwolf showing up as the villains, and the League uniting of course.
Another interesting development is that Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be presented in a different aspect ration to the original film. The Snyder Cut will be available in the 1.66.1 ratio, known widely as “European widescreen,” which will result in viewers seeing black bars on either side of the image when they watch on HBO Max.
