Aquaman 2: DC FanDome Panel
aquaman 2 doesn’t give us much, but orm is coming back
The Aquaman 2 panel was really quite quick, just a little conversation without Jason Momoa, but here’s everything we got.
Director James Wan and actor Patrick Wilson, who have worked on five films together, attended the Aquaman 2 panel. They both confirmed that Wilson’s Orm will return for the sequel.
Patrick Wilson discussed how he found out about his role. He explained that it was during the filming of The Conjuring 2, also directed by Wan. The director himself “floated it out there” to WB that Wilson was a good choice for Orm/Ocean Master. Wan said WB was “supportive from day one.”
Wilson also noted that he had to push himself over the limit to embody the role, confirming that it was a huge challenge to get in shape for the character.
The director said that the second film will be “serious and relevant to the world we’re living in today,” which is a big departure to the silly, self-aware predecessor. He also noted that there will be more worlds explored in the sequel, expanding the universe.
In my opinion, the panel was too short and didn’t reveal anything big, which is not what was promised. But it wasn’t bad or anything.
