In a recent interview, Jurassic Park star Sam Neill was asked whether him and his two co-stars will be featured in just a “couple of scenes” or a “more substantial role”, and Neil explained that all three of them will have major roles in the upcoming Jurassic World: Dominion.

He said that “we’re all the way through with this film, Jeff (Goldblum), and me, and Laura (Dern).” He comically admitted that he “probably won’t be running as fast” as he did a long 27 years ago. This refers to his first role in the big blockbuster franchise in the 1993 Steven Spielberg classic. He also played a major part in the less-acclaimed Jurassic Park III. This will be the first time in more than 20 years he appears on-screen in the franchise.

Dominion director Colin Treverrow, who also helmed the first Jurassic World movie, always wanted to integrate the three original stars into the third installment of the reboot franchise. But he explained that he needed to find an “organic” way to bring them back after such a long time.

Hopefully, with Trevorrow returning to direct, and the original cast returning, this will be a substantially better movie than Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Which although grossed a whole lot of cash, it still didn’t do great with either critics or audiences in terms of scores. Trevorrow’s Jurassic World was at least a good, fun time with Chris Pratt.

Besides Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum coming back to star, both Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning from the other two newer installments. They will play their respective roles of Owen Grady and Claire Dearing. Both Omar Sy and Jake Johnson will also be returning after missing out in the second installment.

Jurassic World: Dominion will be released on June 11th, 2021. However, that date could be pushed back due to the Coronavirus pandemic, so don’t get your hopes up yet.
