  1. “No Time to Die” Reveals its Run-Time

The final James Bond installment for star Daniel Craig is arriving in theaters this April, and the anticipation is going through the roof. No Time to Die is helmed by Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) and has just revealed its run-time. The 007 flick will clock at a massive 2 hours and 43 minutes, the longest Bond film to-date, topping the previous record at 2 hours 28 minutes from its predecessor Spectre. Otherwise, it’s also notably longer than other Craig installments such as Casino Royale (2 hours 22 minutes), Quantum of Solace ( just 1 hour 46 minutes) and Skyfall (2 hours 21 minutes). Whether this will affect its performance at the box office is questionable, but Box Office Pro is still predicting 85-100 million for the opening, with Sweet and Sour at a rock-solid 95 million—so most likely, MGM has another hit.

2. third Installment Officially Titled “Jurassic World: Dominion”

Another conclusion to a massive franchise has found its way into our news story. Predictions about possible titles have been fluttering around since the release of Fallen Kingdom, but now the third and likely final installment to the reboot/sequel trilogy has been titled Jurassic World: Dominion. Set to be released June 11th in 2021, the finale has brought back the franchise’s original three stars (Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill and Laura Dern) and combined them with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Director Colin Trevorrow is also returning after directing the 2015 box office giant Jurassic World, and taking a break for the 2018 sequel. The first two films earned 1.670 billion and 1.308 billion at the global box office, and the third should also top the one billion mark.

3. james Mangold Reportedly Replacing Spielberg for “Indiana Jones 5”

Even after the Indiana Jones veteran Steven Spielberg confirmed that he was directing the fifth installment, he is now likely handing over the chair to Ford v Ferrari and Logan director James Mangold. I mean if this is really happening, Mangold is the guy. He not only helmed the two acclaimed pictures above, but he also directed Walk the Line, Girl, Interrupted and 3:10 to Yuma. IMDb confirms that the iconic Harrison Ford will be returning as Mr. Jones, but that’s the only reported cast member so far. It will be interesting to see how this sequel will perform, especially since its the first installment since 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which opened to solid critical and financial success. See it in theaters the 9th of July 2021.

4. coronavirus (COVID-19) Delays “Mission: Impossible 7” Shooting in Italy

The spreading of the Coronavirus lately has been an issue for the film industry (cancelling China’s No Time to Die premiere), and now its halted filming in Italy for the anticipated Mission: Impossible 7 starring Tom Cruise. Paramount is currently unsure if the cast and crew will be returning to Venice or not, but the release date has stayed the same, sitting at July 23rd in 2021. This shouldn’t be too much of a problem for the production, but it has certainly stopped it for a little while—however, fans should still get their hopes up for seeing Cruise do some insane stunts during next year’s Summer. And nothing seems to be stopping the franchise, especially since the previous installment Fallout grossed nearly 800 million worldwide.
