So Wha’s The Story?

After the fourteen year long wait, comes the continuing story of the Parr family. In which Elastigirl (Helen) is sent on a mission to stop the law of banning super heros, and possibly try to stop another threat. Meanwhile Bob (Mr. Incredible) stays at home and watches the kids. Soon though at the climax they must join together as a family to stop a new threat to society.

Is It Worth Your While?

Fourteen years! We had to wait fourteen years to get an Incredibles sequel. Overall though I thought that it was worth the wait. First of all the directing. I thought that director Brad Bird did not fully catch the flare of the original, but he still directed it in a fun, and fast paced way perfect for all audiences. Also he added much more laughs into this one. I mean the original had a few, but was mostly just violence. I would say that the only problem with the film was that it had a simple, and sometimes predictable plot. Which made the film a little less interesting than it could have been. I mean just try to compare this one’s story to the original’s complex, and interesting story. The visuals in the film were a big improvement off of the original maybe it’s because the original was made in 2004, and animation back then was not as advanced as it is today, but you never know. The film is great for kids, and adults at the same time. Because it provided enough entertainment, and fun along with mind blowing visuals, and great laughs. Overall Incredibles 2 does not full live up to the original, but it still lives up to be a great adaption to the Pixar franchise.

How Was the Cast

The voice cast in Incredibles 2 was excellent! First we have Craig T. Nelson as Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible. He did great with the original he did great with this one. He uses his incredible Bob Parr voice to stun audiences around the world for how amazing he sounds. It’s almost like he was born to be Mr. Incredible. Next we have Holly Hunter as Helen Parr/Elastigirl. Like Craig she has a great voice for her character, and suited the role amazingly well! Overall I think she’s just a great actress, and perfect for a character like this. Third we have Sarah Vowell as Violet Parr. She can get into her character almost immediately without any problems at all which makes her character very believable, and being an important character, I thought wow, she’s doing very well, and she did very well in the original as well. Fourth, and finally we have Huck Milner as Dash Parr. As a kid I thought that he matched maybe even beat the original Dash’s actor for the incredibles. Because I mean Dash was just meant to have an actor with that much energy, and in this case they thought of a kid, and overall he performed very energetically which made him perfect for the role.

Aging ‘The Parr Family’

I gave this film 7+ because overall this is a kids film. There are frequent scenes of violence like the original, but not as much. The film though is very funny, and pretty suitable for all ages it just depends, if your child has seen the original, than this is much less scary if not than just discuss it with your child depending on how old he or she is. If it’s a yes though I guarantee all of the fun, and laughs that you will be expecting.
