After months and months of waiting since the first images came out, it looks like we’re getting a teaser trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune very soon. But if you want early access to it, you have to see a certain Christopher Nolan movie in the theaters.

According to Trailer-Track, this long-awaited and anticipated preview clocks at about 1 minute 37 seconds. That isn’t too short, unless you compare it to the 2 minutes 30 seconds of footage we got for The Batman at just 25% film completion. It’s already been shown at Canadian showings of Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, and for the US it will be on August 31st.

If you’re not comfortable enough with heading to the theaters, you will have to wait another couple weeks till September 9th to see it online. However, chances are it could be leaked before that date. But it won’t be the same teaser…it’s been reportedly confirmed that a full-length trailer will be the one dropping online. If you want to catch both, though, purchase your tickets!

FIRST IMAGES FOR DUNE (2020):

With four months remaining until the movie releases, it is a little surprising that we are only getting a trailer now, but director Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Blade Runner 2049) explained that the pandemic “crushed” his schedule. He even admitted that he had to rush to finish the film on time. But better late than ever.

If readers want any more confirmation, Timothee Chalamet himself, who plays Paul Atreides in the movie, revealed the date on Twitter. He replied to @evak90s tweet, which read: “Timmy it’s my brithday today…give me content about Dune pls I’m the biggest fan.” Chalamet’s response said “trailer before sept.” Here’s the thread:

For the time being, Dune will be released in theaters December 18th as long as it isn’t delayed once again due to the pandemic.
